Where Can I Get a NC Driver's Handbook?

Eligibility Requirements for NC Teen Driving Program

Students who are at least 14½ years old and are pursuing a high school diploma or GED can enroll in this approved driver education course, as outlined in the drivers ed nc handbook. Driver education courses consist of two phases: 30 hours of instruction along with an eye exam, and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training. Upon completion, students will receive a Driver Education Certificate, enabling them to apply for a level one Limited Learner Permit. If you are between the ages of 15 and 17, you must also present your NC Driver Education Completion Certificate as detailed in the drivers ed NC handbook, along with the School Driver Eligibility Certificate, which outlines how to get a North Carolina driving eligibility certificate.
